Update, Thursday, March 12, 2026: A Lake County woman and her infant died in a two-vehicle crash on U.S. Highway 93 on March 9.
Authorities identified the driver as 24-year-old Bryeanna Brazill, who was found deceased with her one-month-old infant at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, a full-sized truck, suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.
The Montana Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating the incident, which occurred near Arlee at 9:30 p.m. MHP reports that Brazill's vehicle crossed the double yellow line, resulting in a head-on collision. Preliminary findings suggest that alcohol and improper child restraint may have contributed to the crash.
The Lake County Sheriff's Office extends condolences to the Brazill family during this difficult time.
