BOSTON, MA — A vehicle rollover in the Ted Williams Tunnel disrupted traffic and prompted lane closures early Thursday.
At approximately 5:50 a.m., both eastbound lanes of Interstate 90 were closed due to the incident. The Massachusetts Department of Transportation confirmed that all lanes have since reopened.
According to State Police, one vehicle was involved in the crash, ending up on its roof and obstructing both eastbound lanes. Emergency responders transported one individual to a local hospital as a precaution.
MassDOT later released video footage showing the vehicle rolling over after entering the tunnel, leading to delays as traffic navigated around the scene. The vehicle has since been towed from the site.
No further details on the investigation have been provided.
