SYRACUSE, Utah — Two 13-year-old girls on an electric scooter died after colliding with a pickup just after 1 p.m. Wednesday at Banbury Drive and Heritage Parkway.
According to the Syracuse Police Department, a pickup towing a trailer was traveling south on Banbury Drive when it collided with a westbound scooter on Heritage Parkway in the intersection.
Emergency personnel responded shortly after 1 p.m.; authorities said both girls died from their injuries.
Authorities said the pickup driver remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators.
The identities of the victims have not been released pending family notification. The crash remains under investigation by the Syracuse Police Department.
