PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. (WKRC) – A police chase involving a U-Haul truck ended in a crash following a PIT maneuver by deputies on May 8.
According to the Paulding Sheriff's Office, the chase began when deputies observed the U-Haul being driven recklessly within their jurisdiction. The driver, identified as Damian Jones, was reportedly wanted on multiple warrants from other counties.
During the pursuit, Jones struck both a truck and additional vehicles on the roadway. The chase concluded when a deputy executed a PIT maneuver, causing the U-Haul to overturn in a church parking lot.
Jones was taken into custody, and investigators found drugs in the vehicle. Specific charges have not yet been disclosed.
