Two women killed in Tuscaloosa County crash.

Two women from Tuscaloosa County died in a crash on U.S. Highway 43 early March 21, according to Alabama troopers.

A release from the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency confirmed that Abigail G. Woods, 20, of Brookwood, and Sierra N. Jackson, 19, of Cottondale, were killed in a involving a 2013 Ford Focus and a 2015 Chevrolet Silverado around 12:15 a.m.

Woods was driving the Ford Focus when the crash occurred approximately 11 miles north of Tuscaloosa. Both Woods and Jackson were at the scene. Jackson was a passenger in the Silverado.

The driver of the Silverado, a 17-year-old from Northport, sustained injuries along with two other passengers, 19-year-olds Terry A. Waggoner and Christopher L. Tucker Jr., both from Cottondale. The injured were transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Debris from the collision also impacted a 2002 Toyota Tacoma driven by 36-year-old Thomas B. Heath Jr. of Northport.

The crash is under investigation by the ALEA's Highway Patrol Division.
