MUSKOGEE COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — Authorities report two fatalities resulting from a crash involving a golf cart in Muskogee County just after 9 p.m. on Sunday.
Emergency crews responded to the scene at Hwy 2 and E. 3034th St. S. According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, the golf cart, which had no lights, was traveling south on Hwy 2 when it was struck by another vehicle.
The collision caused the golf cart to veer off the roadway and roll onto its side. Troopers confirmed that the driver, 41-year-old John Head, and passenger, 50-year-old Dawn Head, were ejected during the incident.
Officials stated that both individuals succumbed to their injuries at the scene. The investigation into the crash is ongoing, and further details are pending.
