CREEK COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — Two people died in a fiery crash on the Turner Turnpike in Creek County Wednesday afternoon.
Emergency crews responded to the scene shortly before 1:30 p.m. Reports indicate a vehicle that was stopped on the right shoulder was struck from behind by another vehicle.
The driver of the second vehicle, 52-year-old Jamie Earp, was pronounced dead at the scene. A passenger in Earp's vehicle, 22-year-old Tucker Earp, also sustained fatal injuries.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. Lane closures were reported while emergency responders were on the scene. Further details on injuries and tow information have not been released.
