Two children critically injured in Grant County UTV crash.

TOWN OF BEETOWN, Wis. — On Friday afternoon, a UTV incident resulted in injuries to two children, with one sustaining life-threatening wounds. The Grant County Sheriff's Office received an emergency call at 1:32 p.m. regarding the crash, which occurred on Diamond Grove Road, south of County V.

According to deputies, the male driver and a female passenger were operating a Polaris UTV for agricultural activities when the vehicle began to slide while descending a hill. The UTV rolled over once, ejecting the driver, while the passenger remained inside the vehicle.

Neither individual had their seat belts fastened, nor were they wearing protective gear at the time of the accident. Emergency crews from West Grant EMS transported the male driver, who faced life-threatening injuries, to Grant Regional Health Center. He was subsequently by UW-Med Flight to a hospital in Madison for further treatment.

The female passenger was also taken to Grant Regional Health Center by Cassville EMS with suspected injuries.
