President Donald Trump on March 18, 2026 attended a dignified transfer for six U.S. service members at Dover Air Force Base in Delaware.

According to the Department of Defense, the airmen were killed when a KC-135 refueling aircraft crashed in western Iraq while supporting operations.

Authorities identified the fallen as Maj. John “Alex” Klinner, 33; Capt. Ariana G. Savino, 31; Tech. Sgt. Ashley B. Pruitt, 34; Capt. Seth R. Koval, 38; Capt. Curtis J. Angst, 30; and Tech. Sgt. Tyler H. Simmons, 28.

The dignified transfer returned their remains to U.S. soil; an Air Force carry team moved the flag-draped transfer cases in silence, officials said.

Family members and senior administration officials attended at Dover, authorities said.

Trump also attended a dignified transfer at Dover on March 7 for six soldiers killed March 1 in a drone strike in Kuwait, according to The Associated Press.
