MECOSTA COUNTY, Mich. (WPBN/WGTU) — A single-vehicle crash on 11 Mile Road in Morton Township left two people injured early Tuesday morning.
At approximately 12:48 a.m. on August 30, deputies from the Mecosta County Sheriff's Office responded to reports of a truck that had gone off the road, struck a power pole, and overturned. The driver, a 25-year-old man from Rodney, was traveling westbound when he failed to navigate a curve, veering to the left and into a ditch.
A 36-year-old woman from Barryton was a passenger in the vehicle. Both individuals sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was transported by EMS to Corewell Health in Big Rapids. The woman was later found at a separate location and taken to Corewell Health by a personal vehicle.
Authorities stated that the incident remains under investigation, particularly regarding the potential use of alcohol prior to the crash.
