A driver was seriously injured in a collision involving a car and a truck in Wayland on Friday afternoon.
The crash occurred at approximately 12:38 p.m. on Old Connecticut Path, according to Wayland Police. The road was closed between Simpson and Hawthorne Roads, with traffic detoured along Cochituate/Main Street to West Plain Street.
Emergency responders transported the driver to Cochituate Ball Field, where a medical helicopter subsequently flew him to Boston Medical Center.
