WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) trooper sustained minor injuries in a crash on Bee Line Highway on August 27.
The incident occurred at Bee Line Highway and Jog Road when a Chevy Avalanche crossed a grass median from the eastbound lanes and collided with the trooper's patrol vehicle.
According to FHP, the driver exited the vehicle and fled the scene but was located and arrested shortly afterward.
Emergency responders reported that the trooper suffered minor injuries, while the patrol vehicle sustained significant damage to the driver's side door and front bumper.
Authorities also stated the suspect was turned over to ICE due to immigration status.
