Three Injured in ATV Crash on Farmington Recreation Trail in New Hampshire
ROCHESTER, NH — Three Maine residents were injured in an ATV crash on the Farmington Recreation Trail on Friday night at approximately 9:30 p.m.
According to New Hampshire Fish and Game, Lucas Goulet, 20, of Lebanon was operating the ATV, with passengers Naven Case, 23, of Cape Neddick and Corbin Hopkins, 20, of Lebanon. The ATV struck a closed gate blocking the trail, resulting in serious injuries to all three individuals.
Emergency responders transported the men to Portsmouth Regional Hospital for treatment. None of the victims were wearing helmets or safety gear at the time of the incident.
Authorities indicated that speed and inattention are believed to be contributing factors to the crash, which is currently under investigation.
