A two-vehicle crash in Gray resulted in one fatality Saturday evening, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office.
Shane Pottle, 29, of Mechanic Falls, was transported to Maine Medical Center, where he succumbed to injuries from the collision. The other driver, Jean Rahilly, 70, of Bethel, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to Maine Medical Center.
The incident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. when Rahilly's 2024 Ford Maverick reportedly crossed the center line and collided with Pottle's 2010 Mazda sedan.
Investigators from the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division are leading the inquiry, with assistance from the Gorham Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit and the Maine Warden Service.
