A multi-vehicle collision on I-95 in Miami resulted in multiple injuries and significant traffic delays this afternoon, authorities said.
The crash occurred around 2:45 p.m. on I-95 northbound near Exit 2. It involved three vehicles, including one tractor-trailer, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Witnesses reported that at least four individuals suffered injuries, with one person transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital in serious condition. Emergency responders from Miami-Dade Fire Rescue arrived promptly on the scene.
As a result of the incident, all northbound lanes of I-95 were closed for approximately an hour while officials conducted an investigation and cleared the wreckage. Authorities reopened the roadway at 3:45 p.m.
An investigation into the cause of the collision is ongoing, and no charges have been filed at this time.
