OGDEN, Utah (KUTV) — A 68-year-old motorcyclist died following a collision on Washington Boulevard Tuesday afternoon.
Robert Bow was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound near the 3300 block when a Ford Escape exited a parking lot at 3355 Washington Blvd. and made a left turn, according to the Ogden Police Department.
Bow struck the front of the Ford and was subsequently attended to by witnesses and emergency personnel. Despite life-saving efforts, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities emphasized the importance of road safety during the summer months, noting that this period often sees an increase in traffic-related fatalities. They urged drivers to remain vigilant for motorcycles, bicycles, pedestrians, and other vehicles.
The investigation is ongoing.
