MORROW COUNTY, Ohio — A 17-year-old from Fredericktown died in a two-vehicle crash Thursday morning in Harmony Township, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
Troopers said the collision occurred around 7 a.m. on County Road 170.
According to the Mount Gilead Post, Hunter Steck, 31, of Marengo was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado northbound on County Road 170 when a 2010 Mazda 6 driven by the 17-year-old, traveling west on Township 187, failed to yield at a stop sign and was struck.
Both vehicles continued off the west side of County Road 170 and hit a ditch, authorities said.
The teen died at the scene; Steck sustained minor injuries. Troopers said both drivers were wearing seat belts.
