Teen Airlifted After Crash with Semi-Truck in Kandiyohi County
KANDIYOHI COUNTY, MN—A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital following a crash involving a semi-truck on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
The semi-truck was traveling west on 240th Avenue NE when the driver slowed to turn into a driveway. Authorities stated the teen crashed into the semi while it was making the turn.
First responders reported that the teen sustained serious injuries, while the semi-truck driver was uninjured.
Emergency response included CentraCare Ambulance, New London Ambulance, New London Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, and the Minnesota State Patrol.
An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
