Teen Airlifted Following Semi-Truck Collision in Kandiyohi County
KANDIYOHICOUNTY, MN—A 17-year-old boy was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries after a crash involving a semi-truck on Wednesday afternoon, according to the Kandiyohi County Sheriff's Office.
Authorities report the semi was traveling west on 240th Avenue NE when it slowed to make a right turn into a driveway. The teen struck the semi during the maneuver.
First responders from CentraCare Ambulance, New London Ambulance, New London Fire Department, Kandiyohi County Rescue Squad, and the Minnesota State Patrol attended the scene. The semi driver was not injured.
The incident is under investigation by local authorities. Lane closures were reported during emergency operations. Further updates will be provided as they become available.
