TOWN OF DECATUR, Wis. — A tragic incident occurred Wednesday night when a 17-year-old from rural Brodhead lost his life in a accident on Ten Eyck Road. The crash took place at approximately 10:34 p.m. in the W700 block, situated about three-quarters of a mile west of the City of Brodhead, as reported by the Green County Sheriff's Office.

Emergency services, including deputies from the Sheriff's Office, the Brodhead Fire Department, and Brodhead EMS, arrived promptly at the scene following the call. Preliminary investigations revealed that the vehicle was traveling east on Ten Eyck Road when it veered off the roadway and struck a tree before coming to a stop in the south ditch.

The driver became trapped inside the , necessitating an extrication by the Brodhead Fire Department. Sadly, the Green County Coroner's Office confirmed the 17-year-old boy was at the scene.

During the crash, the driver was wearing a seatbelt, and airbags deployed within the vehicle. The car suffered extensive damage and was subsequently towed away.
