Fatal Crash Occurs on Route 44 in Taunton, Massachusetts
TAUNTON, MA — A person died following a crash on Route 44 on Monday morning, according to authorities.
Emergency services responded to the incident between Burt Street and North Walker Street at approximately 9:00 a.m. The roadway was closed for several hours as crews worked at the scene.
Authorities confirmed that one individual was killed; however, details regarding potential injuries to others remain unverified. A tractor-trailer and four other vehicles were towed from the area.
The identity of the deceased has not been released. As of this time, investigators have not disclosed whether any charges will be filed.
