SLIDELL, La. — A truck driver was critically injured in a single-vehicle crash early this morning near Slidell.
The incident occurred at approximately 3:17 a.m. on the I-12 East to I-59 North Ramp (exit 85B). Authorities said a semi-truck left the roadway and came to rest in the woods.
Emergency responders from the St. Tammany Fire Department extricated the driver, who was subsequently airlifted to UMC in critical condition.
