Second vehicle involved in fatal rollover on I-15 in Salt Lake.

SALT LAKE CITY (KUTV) — A deadly crash on I-15 left one person dead and another on Sunday afternoon.

The incident occurred around 4:30 p.m. in the northbound lanes near 3300 South. Initially, officials described it as a , involving a Charger.

Authorities identified the driver as 45-year-old Erin Bingham of South Ogden. Both Bingham and her male passenger were from the vehicle; neither was wearing a seatbelt at the time. Bingham was at a local hospital, while the passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Following a preliminary investigation, the Utah Highway Patrol indicated that a second vehicle—a blue Honda Civic—may have been involved in the incident. Investigators believe a collision between the Charger and Civic led to the Charger losing control and rolling off the east side of the highway.

The Honda Civic has been located, although further information has not been released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
