A man riding a scooter was struck and killed near Denver International Airport early Friday morning, according to the Denver Police Department.
The incident occurred at 12:26 a.m. at the intersection of Tower Road and Peña Boulevard. Authorities reported the man suffered serious injuries and was later pronounced dead at 9:24 a.m.
Preliminary details indicate the victim was traveling northbound on the scooter when he fell into the roadway. He was subsequently struck by a vehicle, as confirmed by Sgt. Jay Casillas.
The driver remained at the scene, and the investigation into the incident is ongoing.
