Crash Involving School Bus Causes Delays on U.S. 42 in Prospect
PROSPECT, Ky. – A three-vehicle crash occurred near Timber Ridge Rd on U.S. 42, involving a yellow school bus, around 2:41 p.m. Wednesday.
According to authorities, 20 individuals were on the bus at the time of the incident. The Anchorage Fire Department and Prospect Police are on the scene; one injury has been reported.
Traffic delays are expected as crews work to clear the roadway, and at this time, lane closures are in effect.
School is not in session Wednesday for Jefferson County Public Schools, and a spokesperson for Oldham County Schools confirmed that the bus involved was not part of their fleet.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
