AUBURN, N.H. — Two drivers were hospitalized following a crash involving a van and a tractor-trailer on Route 101 Wednesday, authorities said.
On October 4 at approximately 2:41 p.m., State Police reported that the driver of the van lost control due to excessive speed on wet road conditions and collided with the tractor-trailer. Both vehicles subsequently veered off the highway and struck nearby trees.
Emergency responders arriving at the scene provided medical aid before transporting the two injured drivers to a local hospital. Their conditions have not been disclosed.
The crash resulted in the closure of one lane of Route 101, which was blocked for approximately seven hours, causing significant traffic delays. An investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to State Police.
