Officer Injured in Head-On Collision in Plainfield Township
A Slate Belt Regional police officer sustained minor injuries in a head-on crash early Sunday in Plainfield Township.
According to state police, the officer was driving a marked police SUV northbound on West Pennsylvania Avenue around 2:15 a.m. when a southbound sedan crossed into the northbound lane and collided with the police vehicle.
The 29-year-old woman from Wind Gap, who was driving the sedan, received treatment at the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital.
State police are continuing to investigate the incident.
