OKLAHOMA CITY (KOKH) — Oklahoma City police responded to a fatal accident involving a vehicle and a man in a wheelchair on Tuesday morning.
Around 7 a.m., emergency crews were dispatched to S.E. 42nd and Shields Blvd. The man in the wheelchair was transported to a nearby hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities have not yet released the victim's identity. The driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
Motorists are advised to avoid the area throughout the morning due to potential lane closures.
