Pedestrian Killed in RTD Train Collision in Northeast Denver
A pedestrian was struck and killed by an RTD train in northeast Denver early Monday morning, police said.
The Denver Police Department reported the incident occurred at approximately 12:01 a.m. near North Quebec Street and Smith Road. The collision happened on train tracks adjacent to the Central Park Station, located in the Park Hill neighborhood. The station services the A Line, which connects Union Station to Denver International Airport.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the pedestrian's identity or the circumstances that led to them being on the tracks. Emergency responders were on the scene, and the incident remains under investigation.
