Pedestrian dies in hit-and-run crash in South Nashville

LHA TUN KILLED IN IN SOUTH NASHVILLE

A male pedestrian, identified as Lha Tun, was fatally struck in a hit-and-run incident on Haywood Lane in South Nashville on Sept. 11 at approximately 8:20 p.m.

Authorities reported that Tun was crossing from north to south when a dark-colored Dodge Charger hit him in the roadway. The vehicle continued east on Haywood Lane following the collision. Emergency responders transported Tun to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where he later died from his injuries.

Police indicated that the driver's side of the suspect vehicle is expected to show significant damage.

This incident marks the 14th pedestrian-related crash in Nashville for 2025, with ten of those being fatal; notably, nine involved hit-and-run circumstances.
