COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — The Franklin County Sheriff's Office is investigating a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred in Clinton Township early this morning.
The incident took place just before 5 a.m. on Westerville Road, south of Innis Road. Authorities said a dark four-door sedan was traveling southbound when it struck two adult women who were in the roadway. The driver then fled the scene.
Both pedestrians were transported to Riverside Hospital in critical condition. One of the women was pronounced dead shortly before 5:50 a.m.
