NEWMAN MEADOWS, Idaho — A Payette man was seriously injured in a rollover crash on US-95 early Monday morning, according to Idaho State Police.
Authorities said the 54-year-old was driving a Chevrolet Camaro northbound at high speeds when he lost control, causing the vehicle to roll and come to rest upright in the roadway.
Police reported that the driver was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was subsequently transported to a hospital with serious injuries.
All lanes on US-95 were blocked for approximately five hours as emergency responders worked to clear the scene. The Idaho State Police, Adams County Sheriff's Office, Meadows Valley Emergency Services EMS, Meadows Valley Emergency Services Fire, Idaho County Riggins EMS, and the Idaho Transportation Department were involved in the response.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, according to Idaho State Police.
