Passenger Dead, Two Drivers Injured in Northwest Las Vegas Crash
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A crash at the intersection of Buffalo and Elkhorn resulted in one fatality and two injuries Monday evening.
Just after 7 p.m., an SUV traveling westbound on Elkhorn collided with a sedan heading northbound on Buffalo. The incident occurred when the sedan attempted a left turn and entered the SUV's path, impacting the passenger side of the sedan, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Emergency responders transported both drivers to University Medical Center. The passenger of the sedan required medical extraction but, despite life-saving efforts, was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Authorities reported that neither driver exhibited signs of impairment and both are cooperating with the investigation. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's Collision Investigation Section is currently looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident. Further details, including lane closures or towing, have not been released.
