MADISON (WKOW) — One person died in a single-vehicle crash on South Midvale Boulevard early Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred just after 12:30 a.m. when the vehicle, reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed, struck a tree in the center median. Firefighters from the Madison Fire Department arrived to find one individual trapped in the vehicle who succumbed to injuries at the scene.
Three additional occupants sustained serious injuries and were treated by firefighters and paramedics before being transported to the hospital.
Emergency response efforts concluded, and the scene was cleared by MFD around 2 a.m. The Madison Police Department is actively investigating the accident.
