One Dead, One Seriously Injured in Eagan SUV Crash
EAGAN, MN—One person is dead and another critically injured following an SUV crash early Monday morning.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred just after midnight when a Honda CRV traveling northbound on the Lone Oak Road exit from Interstate 35E veered off the roadway, collided with a traffic signal pole, and caught fire.
The driver, a 28-year-old Eagan woman, was pronounced dead at the scene, State Patrol Lt. Jen Krier confirmed. A 38-year-old passenger from Conyers, Georgia, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported for medical aid.
Authorities have not released the identity of the deceased woman. The crash remains under investigation by the Minnesota State Patrol.
