One Dead, One Seriously Injured in Eagan SUV Crash Early Monday Morning
EAGAN, MN — One person is dead and another seriously injured following an SUV collision with a traffic signal just after midnight on Monday.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a Honda CRV was traveling northbound on the Lone Oak Road exit from Interstate 35E when it veered off the roadway and struck a traffic signal pole before catching fire.
The driver, 28-year-old Vanessa Rae Dougherty, was pronounced dead at the scene. A 38-year-old passenger from Conyers, Georgia, sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported for medical treatment.
Authorities confirmed that the crash remains under investigation. No further details about lane closures or tows were provided.
