CANADIAN COUNTY, Okla. (KOKH) — An Oklahoma City man was killed in a wrong-way crash on I-40 in Canadian County on Friday night.
Emergency crews responded at approximately 9:30 p.m. on August 21 to a collision near N. Cimarron Rd. Authorities reported that 32-year-old Skyler Burditt was driving westbound on the eastbound lanes of I-40 when his vehicle left the roadway and struck a concrete barrier.
The impact caused Burditt's vehicle to roll over twice and travel a distance of 109 feet. Officials confirmed that Burditt died from his injuries at the scene. An investigation is ongoing, and there are no reports of other vehicles involved or additional injuries. Lane closures were implemented during the emergency response.
