TULSA, Okla. (KOKH) — Authorities have confirmed details regarding a head-on collision that resulted in one fatality in Tulsa.
Shortly before 1 a.m. on September 5, Oklahoma Highway Patrol troopers responded to a crash on eastbound I-244 near Sheridan. According to investigators, 43-year-old Angelo Lacirignola was driving a Corvette in the wrong direction on the eastbound lane when he collided head-on with a Dodge Ram.
Both Lacirignola and the Ram's driver, 64-year-old Fredie Hunter, sustained serious injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals. Authorities reported that Hunter succumbed to his injuries on September 30.
