TOLEDO, Ohio — U.S. Rep. Marcy Kaptur will begin physical rehabilitation after an Aug. 2 hit-and-run crash in Toledo, she said.
According to a video Kaptur posted on X on Aug. 9, she thanked supporters and said her recovery has been rapid.
Her campaign manager, Kegan Zimmerman, was driving the congresswoman to church when a Nissan Altima crossed the center line and struck their vehicle in a two-vehicle collision, according to the campaign.
The statements did not include the roadway, time of day, or information about the other driver.
Details on medical aid at the scene, tows, lane closures, or additional injuries were not provided.
