NORTON SHORES, Mich. — A 23-year-old man died after being struck by a vehicle on Seaway Drive Tuesday morning.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on eastbound Seaway Drive near Grand Haven Road. According to authorities, Steven DeWitt of Northern Michigan was walking along the highway when he was hit.
Emergency responders were dispatched to the scene, and medical aid was provided; however, DeWitt was pronounced dead shortly after. The investigation is ongoing, and police are interviewing witnesses to gather more information.
Authorities confirmed that the crash is not classified as a hit-and-run. Further investigation details will be released as they become available.
