Two-Vehicle Collision Injures Four in Downtown Springfield
SPRINGFIELD, Oct. 28 — A collision involving two vehicles on Main Street at approximately 2:41 p.m. left four individuals injured.
According to the Springfield Police Department, the crash occurred when a sedan and an SUV collided while traveling northbound. Emergency responders from the Springfield Fire Department arrived on the scene and provided medical aid to the injured parties.
Witnesses reported that the impact caused significant damage to both vehicles, prompting the need for tow assistance. Authorities confirmed that two individuals were transported to Springfield General Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The condition of the other two is currently unknown.
Main Street was reduced to one lane for approximately 90 minutes as emergency crews conducted their investigation and cleared the wreckage. The accident remains under investigation by the Springfield Police Department.
No fatalities were reported.
