Deer Causes Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-95 in Cranston
CRANSTON, R.I. – A multi-vehicle crash occurred early Saturday morning on I-95 northbound due to a deer on the roadway, according to Rhode Island State Police.
The incident took place around 3:54 a.m. near the Route 10 exit. A vehicle swerved to avoid the deer, struck the low-speed barrier, and overturned into the second lane of the highway. The driver was able to exit the vehicle without sustaining injuries.
Subsequently, a tractor trailer collided with the unoccupied car. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in connection with the incident.
I-95 northbound was closed for approximately 40 minutes as crews managed the scene, according to authorities.
