Phoenix-area Freeways Update: I-10 Reopened After Motorcycle Crash
Eastbound lanes of Interstate 10 were reopened early this morning following a crash near the Deck Park Tunnel that injured a motorcyclist.
According to the Arizona Department of Public Safety, the incident occurred shortly before 4:30 a.m. at milepost 145, inside the tunnel. A motorcycle collided with an attenuator, a safety device designed to absorb energy from collisions.
The rider sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to a local hospital for treatment. All lanes are now open, as confirmed by DPS.
Authorities are investigating the incident, but no further details have been released at this time.
