Motorcyclist Killed in Phoenix Crash Involving Jeep
PHOENIX — A 27-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a collision with a Jeep at the intersection of 22nd Street and Indian School Road on [date].
According to authorities, the 53-year-old driver of the Jeep attempted a left turn without yielding to the motorcyclist, who was traveling west in the curb lane. The motorcyclist, identified as Ansar Azim, was transported to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.
The Jeep driver remained at the scene, and investigators are currently determining potential charges based on toxicology results and a reconstruction of the incident.
This crash marks the latest in a series of fatal motorcycle accidents in May. Earlier this week, a motorcyclist was ejected after rear-ending a vehicle on US 60 in Mesa during rush hour. On May 3, a fatal motorcycle crash shut down Loop 101 in Scottsdale. Additionally, a woman was arrested for manslaughter following a motorcycle-related fatality on May 2 in south Phoenix.
