Motorcyclist Dies in Collision in Lakewood

LAKEWOOD — A 33-year-old Toms River man died following a motorcycle accident involving a Dodge Hornet on Saturday morning, police confirmed. The crash occurred at approximately 9:53 a.m. at the intersection of Shorrock Street and Four Seasons Boulevard.

Authorities identified the motorcyclist as Anthony Ferrentino, who was riding a 2021 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT motorcycle southbound on Shorrock Street. The Dodge Hornet, operated by a 56-year-old woman from Lakewood, was making a left turn when the collision occurred.

According to police, witnesses reported that Ferrentino failed to stop at a red light prior to the crash. He was from his motorcycle, sustaining severe injuries. Emergency responders transported Ferrentino to Ocean Medical Center, where he was later .

The identity of the Dodge Hornet driver has not been released. The investigation is ongoing, and no additional details regarding tow or lane closures were available.
