Scioto Twp., Ohio — A 19-year-old motorcyclist died after a two-vehicle crash on U.S. 50 at Veterans Parkway Sunday night.
The collision occurred just after 8 p.m. when an SUV turning left onto Veterans Parkway struck an oncoming motorcycle, according to the Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The motorcyclist, identified as Ryan Hayes, 19, of Chillicothe, was taken to Adena Regional Medical Center with serious injuries and died shortly after arrival, authorities said.
The SUV driver was not injured. U.S. 50 was closed nearly 2 hours while crews cleared the scene, officials said.
The Ohio State Highway Patrol and the Ross County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
