UPDATE: ROCKFORD (WREX) — A motorcycle crash on Madison St. in Rockford Sunday night resulted in the death of a 42-year-old man.
According to the Winnebago County Coroner's Office, Jesse Owens of Roscoe succumbed to injuries sustained in the incident, which occurred shortly after 8 p.m. An autopsy confirmed he died from blunt trauma to the head.
Preliminary investigations reveal that Owens lost control of his motorcycle while traveling north on Madison St. First responders found him injured and he was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead shortly thereafter.
