MONTAGUE — A Morris County man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a car near the Pennsylvania border, authorities said.
Sung Yi, 56, of Parsippany-Troy Hills, suffered fatal injuries in the incident, according to Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron of the New Jersey State Police. The crash occurred at 10:20 a.m. at the intersection of Deckertown Turnpike and New Road, approximately 2½ miles from the state line.
Yi was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle when he struck a Mercedes-Benz traveling eastbound, the sergeant confirmed. This section of the turnpike is a two-lane roadway.
Both the driver and a passenger in the Mercedes sustained minor injuries, Lebron stated.
Authorities are conducting an ongoing investigation into the crash.
