Millsboro Woman Dies in Route 1 Crash Near Lewes
LEWES, DE — A 23-year-old Millsboro woman died early May 6 following a crash on Route 1, south of Nassau Road.
The incident occurred at 1:30 a.m. when the woman, driving a Kia Forte northbound, veered off the roadway and struck a traffic signal support pole, according to authorities. She was unrestrained and was pronounced dead at the scene. Her identity is being withheld pending family notification.
The road was closed for approximately three hours during the investigation and cleanup.
