Millsboro Man Dies Days After Crash on Long Neck Road
MILLSBORO, DE—An 86-year-old man died on Aug. 23 following a collision on Long Neck Road that occurred on Aug. 18.
According to police, William Wonchoba was driving a Ford Explorer westbound on Mallard Road at 11:50 a.m. when he stopped at a stop sign. He then turned left into the path of a Chrysler Pacifica driven by a 69-year-old Millsboro man.
Authorities said the front of the Pacifica struck the driver's side of the Explorer. Wonchoba was transported to an area hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries five days later. The driver of the Pacifica sustained nonlife-threatening injuries and was also taken to a hospital.
