NEEDHAM, MA — A fatal crash occurred on Monday, October 9, at approximately 3:14 p.m. on Route 128 South.
Janice Goldsmith, 34, of Needham, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Massachusetts State Police. The collision involved two vehicles, which were heavily damaged.
Emergency responders, including local police and fire departments, arrived shortly after the incident. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
Authorities reported that the highway was reduced to one lane for several hours while debris was cleared and an investigation took place. Towing services were requested to remove the vehicles involved.
