Scott Quigley, 41, has been indicted on a charge of felony motor vehicle homicide in connection with a Dec. 12, 2023, incident. He pleaded not guilty during his arraignment at Middlesex Superior Court.

According to authorities, Quigley was off-duty when he struck a driven by Angelo Schettino, 37, who had disabilities. Schettino died on Jan. 13, 2024, from injuries sustained in the crash. The van's driver also sustained injuries.

The case gained attention during an unrelated murder trial where Quigley served as an investigator. Defense counsel raised concerns about the credibility of law enforcement due to the allegations against Quigley.
